This 6YO bay gelding by Little Wonder got his maiden win on start 6 with an astounding last to first romp down the outside of the track. It was a Soft5 track and, after being slow away, he was at the back of the large field for most of the way. What a finish - even his owners, who were on course but not right on the winning post angle, didn't realise he'd won until the judge made his announcement. In the end, he got up by a long head. 

Such an exciting win - especially given his owners Frances, Raewyn and Elliott are all on the Auckland Owners Association committee. Frances bred the horse, who is out of Angel's Honour. 

It's worth watching the video of this race to see him power down the outside - hugely impressive!

Well done team - may there be more wins to come, although it will be hard to top such an exciting last-to-first close finish like this one!
