The Auckland Thoroughbred Racehorse Owners’ Association

Our region covers Auckland, Northland and Counties Manukau areas.

There are many magical aspects to owning and racing horses. Among those is the company and friendship of others who share the same passion.

The industry is at a time of great opportunity with the new StrathAyr track at Ellerslie and boosted stakes. It's an exciting time to be involved in racing as an owner, after a challenging few years. 

We encourage and support the optimism, pragmatism and dedication of our fellow owners while at the same time giving them a voice within the national Federation and thus, ultimately, within the realm of NZTR.

Support, education and enjoyment – some education, some dining and wining and lots of banter – that is all to be encouraged.
Remember – your horse is only one race away from a win.

We organise an annual Spring Race Day & Luncheon for members and their guests, with prizes, a Punters’ Club and lots of camaraderie.

We congratulate all members who have winning horses - and we look forward to welcoming new members to our region!

NEWS & UPDATES:

SPRING RACE DAY 2023: Auckland Association is planning its Spring Race Day to be held at Pukekohe Park on 28th October 2023. We look forward to another fun day of great racing. 

AGM 2023: Auckland Association held its AGM 2023 on Sunday 15th October at Ellerslie Racecourse. Sally Blyth was elected President and Lex Paterson as Vice President.
